DRAFT STUDIO / DIRECTION & PRODUCTION NOTES

PrintDare, turned up.

This prototype evolves PrintDare’s existing pink-to-purple logo, informal tone and colourful garment work. The creative idea is a working print sheet: oversized type, precise labels, real products and room for the workshop’s character.

What the research changed

The strongest story is the approachable production team behind bands, brands and workwear. The current image-based navigation and social-feed presentation hide that strength. This prototype brings real jobs forward, makes no-minimum and rush enquiries visible, and asks for a brief before asking visitors to select technical print options.

The original mark is retained. Hot pink and deep plum extend its colour family. Condensed display type supplies impact; readable sans-serif and mono labels make the job details easy to scan. No stock photographs, invented reviews or fictional customers are used.

Source of truth

Homepage: logo, customer work, no minimum, rush orders, UK delivery, contact email. DTF page: artwork at 300dpi and print size; setup charge may apply below 20; breaks at 20, 50, 100; transfer size affects price rather than colour count. Business details: address and phone. The about, contact, sitemap, mock-up studio, draft FAQ and Guy Denning store pages were also inspected. Generic draft copy was excluded.

Project evidence and outstanding details

Source for all three customer stories: PrintDare’s published project posts. W.A.S.P.: same-day completion applies only to the top-up; quantity, tour date and full production timings have not been published. Ask My Bull: confirm quantity, turnaround, fuller brief and customer approval. The Guitar Repair Workshop: confirm quantity, turnaround and further project details before expanding the story. Unknown fields are omitted from customer pages.

WhatsApp remains unconfirmed and has been removed from the enquiry page. Retain the verified phone and email contact options.

Premises visit: the photography brief

  1. Hero replacement: black PrintDare hoodie with galaxy print, held by its maker at the workbench. Landscape and portrait; leave negative space above the garment.
  2. Peel detail: fingertips lifting film, low side light on print edge and weave. Capture a wide shot and a macro.
  3. Workshop loop: print sheet, press closing, peel, garment folded, box packed. 10–15 seconds; static alternative for reduced motion.
  4. The people: natural team portrait at the workspace. Names and roles confirmed before captioning.
  5. Tools and texture: printer, transfer film, test prints, shelves and press controls. Keep real wear and workshop character.
  6. Workwear: an approved customer wearing their staff hoodie, plus chest and sleeve close-ups.
  7. Merch range: Ask My Bull totes and tee, front and back, overhead on the same bench. Check permission for artwork and customer credit.
  8. Rush case study: any retained W.A.S.P. crew garment, full garment and print detail. Confirm quantity, date, constraints and customer approval; never stage a reenactment as documentary evidence.
  9. Dispatch: hands packing a genuine order. Keep customer addresses and other private information out of frame.

Site architecture

Built: homepage, three project pages, DTF service page, band merchandise page and five-step quote journey. Navigation anchors cover work, product choices and the workshop. A custom 404 provides a route home.

Future pages: workwear, clothing brands, custom merchandise and urgent printing only when there is enough distinct product advice and real proof. A Manchester page should add useful location and collection information, not repeat the homepage for search rankings.

Before a live launch

The form is a local demo: no submission, storage service or upload endpoint. Confirm the approval/payment process, delivery and collection arrangements, rush availability, current pricing, WhatsApp service and customer permissions. Connect the form to an agreed inbox with server validation, upload limits, spam protection and an appropriate privacy notice. Replace photography briefs after the shoot.

This private prototype is deliberately marked noindex. Production would use crawlable page content, unique titles and descriptions, verified business details, a sitemap and canonical URLs. Do not publish draft placeholders as a finished commercial site.

Existing photographs are from PrintDare’s public site, used to demonstrate this redesign; confirm usage approval before public launch. Vildhjarta’s test artwork was explicitly described as a personal test, so it is not presented as a client.
